Welcome to Connecticut Urogynecology
Connecticut Urogynecology, the first practice of its kind in CT, first started treating women in 1995 under the direction of Dr. Raul Mendelovici. Since that time we have successfully treated thousands of patients, improving their quality of life. We are a true subspecialty center devoted specifically to the management of women with Urogynecologic problems. The highest level of patient care and patient satisfaction are our ultimate goals.
This site contains useful information and resources to help women with different types of pelvic floor dysfunction including: Urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, painful bladder syndrome, fecal incontinence and sexual dysfunction
Most Urogynecologic disorders are not life threatening, yet they can severely impact a woman’s quality of life. As life expectancy increases, prevalence of pelvic organ dysfunction also increases. Thanks to major advances in health care, we now have multiple treatment options which can help restore a woman’s quality of life. We believe that as the public becomes aware of the problems surrounding prolapse and incontinence, better informed decisions can be made regarding treatment. Having an expert in the field to provide these services should be an expectation for every woman.
Our philosophy is to provide the best possible treatment incorporating the latest medical advances in a comfortable setting with our specially trained staff. We respect your privacy and will treat you with the utmost consideration and care. Our goal is to help you overcome your problem with our proven treatment modalities.
We take pride in caring for each woman on an individual basis. There are many therapeutic options available in the field of Urogynecology. We begin by performing a comprehensive evaluation. The assessment and testing provide an accurate diagnosis followed by treatment recommendations for your particular pelvic floor abnormality. A non-surgical or minimally invasive approach will be offered whenever possible. Your dignity and personal needs will always be considered as we collaborate in your treatment plan.
